With the Commander’s almost making it to the Superbowl this year, it only seemed apt to blog about this football inspired family photography session in Old Town Alexandria VA!

Last autumn, I enjoyed capturing this fun and dynamic family again, whose playful energy always makes for an unforgettable experience!

What made it even more remarkable was our connection. Christina and Andy have been my go-to Physical Therapists for over a decade. Yes, I do a lot of PT, but if you know me, you know!

The Setting

Old Town Alexandria is a photographer’s dream. Its cobblestone streets, colonial architecture, and picturesque waterfront create endless photo opportunities! For this year’s family session, we headed to the waterfront in north Old Town, where the golden afternoon light reflected beautifully off the water. The kids’ jerseys caught the warm glow, making for stunning, vibrant shots!

Family Fun with a Football Theme

The session’s highlight was undoubtedly the kids, who proudly wore their football jerseys! Their parents chose this theme to celebrate the family’s shared love for sports, which makes sense since Christina and Andy are both Physical Therapists and are the owners of Solutions Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine, a highly rated facility in the heart of Alexandria!

Capturing Candid Connections

Beyond the playful football-themed shots, I also focused on capturing the natural love and connection between family members and all the chaos one would expect with three young boys!
