Start the conversation
Once you're all booked, I'll send over a detailed questionnaire and my Headshot Guide to help you prepare for your session. Together, they'll help us refine your vision, plan how you'll use your images, and select wardrobe options. If you'd like, I'm also happy to review outfit choices before your session, so you can arrive feeling confident, prepared, and knowing exactly what to bring.
For team and corporate headshots, we'll also discuss your company culture, brand values and the overall look you want your team headshots to communicate.
Styling and planning
If you're worried about being in front of the camera, you're not alone! Many of my clients tell me they feel exactly the same way. Guiding people who feel uncomfortable in front of the camera is one of my specialties, and I'll direct you every step of the way, from posture and expression to subtle adjustments that make all the difference.

Yes, the studio in Alexandria offers both traditional backdrop options and a relaxed lifestyle setting. I also have several hand-painted backdrops available for a more customized look.
In general, I recommend choosing clothing that feels polished, fits well, and reflects how you would like to be perceived professionally. Solid colors and subtle patterns tend to photograph best. Before your session, you'll have the opportunity to send me photos of your outfit options. I'll help you narrow them down to the strongest choices so you can arrive feeling confident and fully prepared.
Q: Can you come to our place of business to take headshots of our whole team?
Absolutely, when you inquire, let me know where you’re located and how many team members need to be photographed. I can photograph teams on location to create a consistent look across the entire company.
If you also need photos of your workspace, team interactions, or other marketing imagery, we can discuss incorporating those into the shoot as well.
Q: In addition to headshots, can we get some full-body shots?
Yes! When we meet for a consultation call, let me know if you require more than traditional headshots and how you plan to use the images. Depending on your goals, we may incorporate full-body portraits into your headshot session, or you may benefit from a brand photography session that provides greater variety and flexibility.
